How to read trap serialnumber

Each Aurotrap is labeled with a unique serial number generated during production. This number provides important information about when the trap was made and what type it is. 

Serial Number Format

The serial number follows this structure:

YYWWXXXXX-T

This can be read as follows:

• YY = Year of Production
  The last two digits of the year the trap was produced.
  Example: 23 = 2023
  
  

• WW = Week of Production
  The production week number (ranging from 01 to 53).
  Example: 51 = Week 51
  
  

• XXXXX = Sequential Production Number
  A running number that shows the production count.
  
  

• T = Trap Type Indicator
  A letter indicating the model or version of the trap:

  • S = Steel (no longer in production)

  • N = Nature

  • C = Collect
