What to do If your Aurotrap Is not responding or showing data in the manager

If your trap is not showing updates or responding in the AuroTrap Manager, this may be due to the device's 24-hour heartbeat.


How the 24-Hour Heartbeat Works:

  • The trap sends an update to the Manager 24 hours after its last activity (e.g., observing or killing a rodent).
  • If there has been no new activity, the trap will not send an update until the next 24-hour interval, or on next observation/kill.

What to Do If You Want to See Data Immediately:

  1. Locate the trap physically.
  2. Remove the battery from the battery holder.
  3. Wait for 10 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the battery.
  5. The trap will send data and respond in the Manager within 5-10 minutes.

Important:

  • Only perform this manual reset if you need immediate updates. Otherwise, the trap will update automatically at the next scheduled interval.
